The development of Filip Mesar in the Kitchener Rangers will no doubt please the leaders of the Canadiens.
The Slovak continued to dominate the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) on Tuesday night with a hat trick against the Erie Otters.
Mesar scored two goals in the first period for his team’s lead of 4:1, and then in the second period, in the power play, he completed his hat trick.
CH’s first pick in 2022, Mesar left for Kitchener for the second year in a row due to player congestion in Laval.
With 21 points including 8 goals in 11 games this season, Mesar has found his era to go to the OHL.
