Jonathan Drouin finally scored his first goal in an Avalanche jersey on Monday night.
The striker capitalized on his side’s 5-1 win to open his account of the season, having failed to score in his opening 11 games.
In the third quarter against the Kraken, Drouin rushed toward the net on a counterattack. He accepted a submission from Nathan MacKinnon before defeating Joey Daccord.
The Quebecer now has three points in 12 games.
In addition to Drouin, the Avalanche net was started by Mikko Rantanen, Ross Colton, Cale Makar and Valeri Nichushkin. Brandon Tanev was the only scorer for Seattle.
