Attacker on Edmonton Oilers Leon Draisaitl was fined $5,000 for his actions against Bo HorvatMonday.
The Oilers star hit a double check behind the legs of the Islanders center and he lost his balance. Draisaitl received a minor penalty on the streak.
The German has six goals and a total of 19 points in 14 games so far this season, along with 22 penalty minutes. He pocketed $8.5 million per season.
The league clarified that this amount will be donated to the NHL Players Emergency Fund.
