For several years now, the “Canes” have occasionally worn a green version of the jersey of the club that used to be located in Hartford. This time, the team from Carolina opted for a white version of the vest.

The Whalers existed from 1972 to 1997, initially playing in the World Hockey Association. They joined the National League in 1979, when it integrated four teams from its rival circuit. In 1997, the franchise moved to Raleigh and became the Hurricanes.

“Canes” will face the New Jersey Devils in the evening, where they will wear their new jersey.
