The Montreal Canadiens confirmed Tuesday that forward Rafaël Harvey-Pinard will miss six to eight weeks of action with a lower-body injury.
While his condition has been evaluated on a daily basis since early November, the team added him to the injured list on Monday and announced that the 24-year-old would not be traveling west.
His last game dates back to November 14 when the Canadian faced the Calgary Flames at the Bell Centre. He also missed three games earlier this month.
Also on Monday, the Habs recalled Laval Rocket defenseman Jayden Struble to make up for the absence of Arber Xhekaj, injured in the upper body, and David Savard.
