Dallas Cowboys fans certainly enjoyed the performance of their favorites at AT&T Stadium in their 45-10 victory over the Washington Commanders on Thursday night, but the famous singer also put on a show.
At 77, Dolly Parton hosted the halftime show. The artist did not disappoint, especially performing “We Are The Champions” by Queen.
On the field, the visitors had the lead about 10 minutes into the second quarter when Commanders (4-8) quarterback Sam Howell reached the end zone to cut the score to 14 to 10. The latter also had quite a successful game, amassing 300 yards through air thanks to 28 completed passes.
But his counterpart in the Cowboys (8-3) was even better. Dak Prescott, who is relentless these days, threw four touchdown passes and found his receivers 22 of 33 times for 331 yards.
However, the most spectacular action in the match took place in the last moments of the last quarter. Indeed, cornerback DaRon Bland made the NFL history books by making his fifth interception before scampering 63 yards for a touchdown. No one has ever achieved such a feat in one season.
Other Cowboys players who scored for Dallas included Rico Dowdle, Brandin Cooks, Tony Pollard, CeeDee Lamb and KaVontae Turpin.
The Texas team will host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday. As for the Commanders, they will cross paths at FedEx Field with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
