NFL: Fatal first period for the Seahawks

The San Francisco 49ers largely dominated the debates against the Seattle Seahawks in a 31-13 victory Thursday night at Lumen Field.

The 49ers’ game was particularly dominant, especially in the first two quarters. In fact, the Californian club reached the penalty zone three times in the first period, each time thanks to the runs of its players.

Deebo Samuel started the proceedings in the first quarter with the first big score of the game, and then Christian McCaffrey took matters into his own hands by scoring two touchdowns in the second quarter to eventually give his team a 21-3 lead.

Brandon Aiyuk was the second author of the touchdown for San Francisco.

Less dominant than he was Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 49ers running back Brock Purdy still managed to catch a touchdown pass. He also completed 21 of his 30 attempts through the air for gains of 209 yards.

We can’t say the same for fellow Seahawks Geno Smith. After a particularly rough first quarter, the latter rebounded to finish his night with 180 passing yards. However, the 33-year-old athlete was the victim of six quarterback sacks.

Jordyn Brooks saved his team’s honor by reaching the 49ers’ end zone alone during the third quarter.

The 49ers travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles on December 3rd. The Seahawks will face the Cowboys in Dallas on Thursday.
