NBA recap for November 19: Record meltdown for Raptors at Pistons expense


Pascal Siakam scored 23 points and Toronto Raptors crushed him Detroit Pistons 142-113, Sunday.

This game against the worst team in the NBA came at the right time for the Raptors (6-7), who have lost their last two games and three of their last four. It is the 11th loss in a row for the Pistons (2-12).

The Raptors’ 142 points were their most in home history, two points shy of their all-time record of 144. They also set a team record with 44 assists.

Toronto extended its streak of at least 25 assists to nine games, one shy of the team record set in January 2020. Six Raptors players had at least one assist in the first quarter, making one of 12 of their 14 points in the a quarter.

The Raptors scored 32 points or more in each quarter and were never really worried. They led 32-20 after one quarter, 69-45 at halftime and 104-72 at the end of the third quarter.

Gary Trent Jr scored 18 points coming off the bench, Scottie Barnes and Dennis Schröder each scored 17 and Jakob Poeltl had 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Quebecers Chris Boucher scored a career-high 14 points this season and grabbed six rebounds in 18 minutes.

OG Anunoby returned to action after missing three games due to a finger injury. He is one of the few Raptors players who had a tough game. He scored nine points (2-for-11 from the perimeter).

With the Pistons, Stanley Umude had the best game in his career with 19 points. Cade Cunningham scored 18

PHI : Joel Embiid had 32 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists. Tyrese Maxey he added 25 points and 10 assists.
MUSTACHE : Reservist Lonnie Walker was the leading scorer of the Nets with 26 points.

Magic 128 – Pacers 116
ORL : Paolo Banchero scored 24 points. Magic dominated the first half 78-44.
IND : Reserve Jordan Nwora led the Pacers with 19 points. Bennedict Mathurin was their best starter with 14.
