NBA recap for November 12: From bad to worse for the Los Angeles Clippers

James Harden visibly brings misfortune to Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers suffered a 105-101 loss against Memphis Grizzlies Sunday afternoon, fourth defeat in a row. So the Clippers are still looking for their first win with James Harden in formation.

LA lost all four games in which Harden played. The Clippers’ new acquisition struggled again on Sunday and was limited to 11 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 29 minutes of action, while finishing the game with a team-worst minus-28.

The observation is striking for Harden, who was limited to 54 points in a Clippers uniform, averaging 13.5 points per game. Harden never collected more than 8 rebounds in a duel, nor more than 6 assists.

Harden wasn’t the only Clippers player to be handcuffed offensively on Sunday. Kawhi Leonard he had only 14 points and 5 rebounds. Los Angeles stayed in the game thanks to 26 points from Paul Georgeas well as 20 points ed Norman Powell.

The Clippers game started badly, as the team dominated 33-20 in the first quarter.

Los Angeles was losing by 11 points in the quarter before the end. The Clippers rallied though and even managed to take a 95-93 lead with 3:09 left in the game. However, the Grizzlies regained their rhythm and headed for victory, only their second of the season.

Desmond Bane was a big help to the Grizzlies with his 27 points, while Marcus Smart added 17 points. Bismack Miyombo finished the game with a double-double performance of 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Maxey is electrifying for the 76ers

While everything seems to be falling apart in Los Angeles, it’s quite the opposite in Philadelphia, where the 76ers are still perfect since the Harden trade.

Thanks to Tyrese Maxey’s stellar 50-point performance, the The Sixers they had the best 137-126 against the Indiana Pacers. This is the sixth victory in as many games since Harden joined the Clippers.

Maxey reached 50 points in a game for the first time in his career. He became the youngest 76ers player since Allen Iverson in 1997 to score 45 or more points in a game.

And a sign that everything is fine for Maxey, he also added 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks. His teammate Joel Embiid was a great help to him with 37 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists.

For the Pacers, Quebec’s Bennedict Mathurin was limited to 9 points and 5 rebounds in 26 minutes of play, and Tyrese Haliburton had a strong game with 25 points and 17 assists.
