MLB: Abraham Toro traded to Oakland A’s


THE Oakland Athletics have acquired Quebecois Abraham Thoreaucomes from Milwaukee Brewersin return for pitcher Chad Patrick on Wednesday night.

Toro will be in his fourth organization in the MLB, after representing Houston AstrosTHE Seattle Mariners and the Brewers.

Toro, 26, was limited to nine games in the majors last season with the Brewers. He had a .444 batting average and hit two home runs while driving in nine runs.

At the AAA level in 2023, Toro appeared in 96 games and had a .291 batting average while hitting eight home runs and driving in 58 runs.

Selected in the fifth round of the 2016 draft by the Astros, Toro played 271 games in the MLB during his career. He has a .211 batting average. He also hit 28 home runs and drove in 108 runs.

Patrick is a 25-year-old pitcher drafted by The Arizona Diamondbacks 2021. He has never played in the MLB and spent his last season between the AA and AAA levels.
