For the first time in more than 20 years, the National Lacrosse League will present a season game at an amphitheater in the Montreal metropolitan area, Groupe CH announced in a press release Thursday morning.
For the occasion, Toronto Rock and New York Riptide will face off at Place Bell in Laval in a match from the new UnBOXed series.
The sport has a deep history in our province and hosting this game is a great way to honor the past while looking to the future by allowing our fans to attend an important season game between the Rock and Riptide at Place Bellsaid France Margaret Bélanger, president of sports and entertainment, Groupe CH.
This will be the first match of the season for NLL in Quebec for 22 years. The Montreal Express then played their last game at the Molson Center, now known as the Bell Center.

Tickets for this event will go on sale from noon on Thursday.
This announcement is part of the unveiling of a new multinational development initiative NLLUnBOXed, which notably includes the launch of its program specific to the Montreal region, which will bear the name
Montreal Beavers. However, the league is very clear that the UnBOXed initiative is not an expansion.
UnBOXed Series Event Lineup NLL will also feature educational clinics for girls and boys, for parents and coaches, as well as interactive experiences for fans on game day at Place Bell. Additional details will be provided later.
