Things are starting to get clearer in the derby Patrick Kane as the best player currently available in the NHL began meeting one-on-one with teams interested in his services to speak with the GM and head coach of each.
If the latest rumors are anything to go by, between 5 and 7 teams would still be in the running to try and convince the star forward to sign with them.

According to rumors, the Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers and Toronto Maple Leafs are Eastern teams that have shown interest in Kane.
But a well-known journalist Larry Brooks from New York Post reports that the Tampa Bay Lightning will meet with Kane in the coming days to try to convince him to sign with them.
Everything points to the fact that DG Julien BriseBois is about to try another one of his magic tricks to bring a star to his lineup despite the small salary he has. With the imminent return of their star goalkeeper Andrei VasilevskiBriseBois is clearly keen to prepare his team to make another attempt at major honours.
Imagine the Lightning offense adding Kane to it Nikita Kucherov, Steven Stamkos AND Brayden Point!
Let’s see if he can convince him.
Kane is expected to make his decision and make an official announcement in the coming days, or early next week.
