The Vegas Golden Knights used their visit to Washington to visit the White House on Monday.
It was the return of this tradition for the American Stanley Cup champion teams. Last year, the Colorado Avalanche were unable to celebrate their triumph with the US President due to scheduling conflicts. The Tampa Bay Lightning visited the White House in 2022 to celebrate their victories in 2019-2020. and 2020-2021.

At the podium, Joe Biden had very good words for the Golden Knights organization. He emphasized the determination of the owner and the work of the professional staff. However, the 80-year-old reserved his highest compliments for captain Mark Stone.
“Mark is my guy,” Biden said. I never played hockey, but I played football. He’s a guy like the ones I’ve played with. He had two back surgeries in a year. He missed half the season. He returned in the first game of the playoffs and scored a hat trick in the game in which his team won the Stanley Cup.
The Golden Knights forward thanked the most powerful man in the United States and said he wanted to return to the White House several times to meet him.
“Being here is the opportunity of a lifetime,” Stone said. Several guys had the opportunity to visit them several times and we fully intend to come back here!”
