“I’m young, I’m blond, I’m short”: the deputy says that the mayor grabbed her by the collar


Kariane Bourassa is clear: respect in politics should be the norm. However, the young MP already has several bad experiences with certain elected officials in her constituency.

Perhaps the worst of them: the mayor grabbed a 32-year-old woman by the collar.

The day after the physical confrontation, the mayor in question apologized for his unacceptable behavior.

Mme Bourassa accepted his apology and did not file a complaint.

She even refuses to name him so as not to add fuel to the fire. But despite everything, she has a very clear explanation.

“I’m young, I’m blonde, I’m small,” she explained to Antoine Robitaille via QUB radio.

Another mayor simply refused to speak to her directly, instead calling a cabinet minister.

The member for Charlevoix-Côte-de-Beaupré was forced to set the record straight.

Remember that Kariane Bourassa was elected in 2022 with a large majority in this election cycle.
