The first free practice session for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix was interrupted after just ten minutes on Thursday due to a problem with the pit cover.
Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari stopped after rolling over a bump, triggering the red flag of the stewards, minutes before the organizers announced that the session would not continue.
The Sky Sports broadcaster explains that the FIA claimed there was a problem with the shaft cover.
The second free practice is scheduled for midnight Las Vegas time (3 a.m. Quebec time).
