There are only four NHL games on the schedule tonight, two of which we will broadcast on our network.
First, the Philadelphia Flyers visit Raleigh to face the Carolina Hurricanes.
The match will be broadcast by TVA Sport from 19:30.
“Canes” entered the season very well with 18 points in 15 games. Teams are doing well these days, winning six of their last eight games. One of those was a 3-2 win against the same Flyers on October 30th.
Philadelphia, for its part, has had its ups and downs, but has won its last two games. Defenseman prodigy Travis Sanheim leads the team in scoring with 12 assists in 14 games.
Islanders against the best scorer
Later in the evening, the New York Islanders will be in Vancouver to face the Canucks.
The match will be broadcast by TVA Sport from 10 p.m.
The home team is in great form: they have amassed an 11-3-1 record so far this season, and have won six of their last seven games. They are also counting on the top three scorers in the NHL, Elias Pettersson (25 points, first place), Quinn Hughes (23 points) and JT Miller (23 points).
It’s the complete opposite for the Islanders, who just suffered five straight losses.
This meeting will be an opportunity first return to Vancouver for former Canucks captain Bo Horvat, traded to the Islanders last season.
“It’s going to be an emotional night,” the center admitted to NHL.com on Tuesday. I have a lot of good memories from Vancouver, so it will be a little strange to be back, but this time in the away locker room.
