Brock’s cross country teams capped off an impressive season at the U SPORTS Championships on Sunday, November 12th. After a program-defining eighth-place finish at the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Championships, the Badgers traveled to Thames Valley Golf Course in London. because they competed in the men’s and women’s 8 kilometer race.
Madelyn Huston she continued to excel as she achieved the best result on the women’s side, placing 87thth in 31 minutes, 53 seconds and one millisecond.
Her teammate and junior runner Lauren Macsai won the second best place with a time of 33:22.5. Robyn Adamo he was right on her tail, and the veteran Badger finished the race in 33.58.1.
Rounding off the results were the juniors Cori Macsai (34:57.7) and graduate student Elizabeth Gay (35:45,3).
The women’s team took eighteenth place overall with 550 points.
On the men’s side, Isaac Ianarelli also made the Top 100. The Junior Badger again played a key role in the team’s success, crossing the finish line in 26.39.6 to place 87th.th.
The senior runner was not far behind Christian Ligtenberg who finished with a time of 27:13.3.
Graduate student Joseph Dick achieved the team’s third best result, crossing the line at 27:55.3.
Their teammates Marco Di Felice (28:34.3), Garrett Wager (28:35.6), Redding Maxwell (28:53.8) i Riley Coles (29:13.8) closed the individual results.
With 534 points, the men’s team secured the nineteenth place in its result category.
As the 2023 season draws to a close, Brock’s cross country teams look to the future. The Badgers hope to continue their upward trend next year as they build on their success and experience from the fall.
