Claude Julien is still involved in the Bruins’ success

Former CH and Bruins coach Claude Julien is still involved in the Boston team’s success.

In an NHL interview after the game, the Bruins head coach mentioned that he had regular conversations with Julien.

“I talk to Claude a lot, he’s an instructor I have a lot of respect for,” Montgomery told Dave Morissette and his panelists.

Julien coached the Bruins from 2007 to 2017, with the current coach taking over last season.

Even if the two men have never met behind the bench, Montgomery admits his team has always been good defensively since Julien’s transition.

Since he has been the coach in Boston, the team has always been in the top 5 defenses, Montgomery pointed out.

The Bruins are actually first in goals allowed, averaging 2.00.
