Brendan Gallagher practiced on the front line today

The Canadian is currently in Anaheim as part of his annual trip to California.

Martin St-Louis’ men will face the Ducks tomorrow night. The set will be presented at 10 p.m.

Head coach Flannel decided to run practice today and from the start we saw that St-Louis wanted to emphasize one-on-one battles once again.

The Canadian has lost his last four matches, and the coach decided to shake things up a bit.

Up front we can see Brendan Gallagher training in the club’s first team, alongside Alex Newhook and Nick Suzuki.

Cole Caufield was separated from Suzuki and found himself on the second row with Juraj Slafkovski and Christian Dvorak, while Josh Anderson practiced on the third row of the team with Sean Monahan and Tanner Pearson.

Michael Pezzetta, Jake Evans and Jesse Ylonën completed the offensive formation.

In defense, it was quite fluid, but it looked like this:

  • Matheson–Barron
  • Guhle-Kovačević
  • Struble–Lindstrom

Earlier in the afternoon, The Canadian announced that Jordan Harris will return to Montreal for testing and that Rafaël Harvey-Pinard will miss six to eight weeks of activity.

The club also announced the recall of the player, but it is not known whether it is a striker or a defender.

Offensive and defensive combinations should therefore be taken with a grain of salt at the moment.

If that remains intact though, it will be interesting to see if Brendan Gallagher can keep up in the front row. He is most effective when he plays less, so I wonder what his utility will be if he is indeed used in the first line of the team tomorrow night.

The good days of the small forward are, of course, behind him. But Gally continues to work like crazy and did not steal the opportunity to audition for the club’s first unit.

A lots of

– It’s safe.

– Damon Severson is injured and expected to miss approximately six weeks of action.

– The Sens defender is recovering from an injury.

– Joel Edmundon is happy to be back in the game.
