Arber Xhekaj will not travel with the club to California today

This morning, the Canadian put Rafaël Harvey-Pinard on the injured list. The Canadian striker is obviously physically compromised and resting him is not a bad idea.

And take his place, in comes the defender (Jayden Struble). backup.

We notice that the Canadian replaced one attacker with a defender. This means that at the time of writing, the club only have 12 forwards (and eight defenders) on the sidelines for the trip to California.

If CH doesn’t have three goalkeepers – so be it.

The 12 forwards present are likely healthy, and the fact that Struble was recalled a few hours from California (so far from Laval, where he is a potential prospect) makes it clear that CH has question marks on the blue line.

By the way, this is no surprise: Jordan Harris and Arber Xhekaj are guys who are out of shape.

Harris, who played Saturday, did not participate in today’s practice to undergo treatment. He will, however, be traveling with a group, which is at least a good sign.

But Arber Xhekaj, who was not in training, will not come on the trip. By the way, there is no RHP either.

I don’t know if Haris will be able to play on Wednesday, we will see in due course. But at least, with seven defenders, we have to say that the Canadian has depth.

As part of a trip to the West, this is important.

If seven defenders and three goalkeepers are on the way, we can think that the Canadian has room for 13 forwards. But right now there are only 12 in town with the Canadian.

Will Joel Armia (or someone else) end up being called up? That remains to be seen.

To perform another recall, you will need to free up another seat. And barring a surprising and hard-to-predict move (like a trade, for example), we might think that putting Xhekaj on the injured list is a strong possibility.

So it will continue.
