The Montreal Canadiens returned to practice this morning in preparation for Saturday’s game against the Bruins in Boston.
Injured in yesterday’s defeat against the Vegas Golden Knights, rugged defenseman Arber Xhekaj was notably absent during the session. The 22-year-old defender left the game in the second period after a solid shot by Ivan Barbashev.
Striker Rafaël Harvey-Pinard was also absent, who is still suffering from an injury, possibly in the lower part of his body. It is still evaluated on a daily basis and he will be on his way to Boston after all.
On the other hand, on the ice with his teammates was defender Jordan Harris, who has not played since last Sunday’s game due to an injury.
The Habs, who have won just two of their last nine games, will begin a five-game road trip in Boston that will also take them to Anaheim, San Jose, Los Angeles and Columbus.
